So here’s a little holiday throwback; 6 years ago, I went on a family holiday to my homeland of Jamaica…
Now, I know what you’re thinking: ‘Why does she have purple hair?!’ Well, if I’m honest with you, as well as that (STILL) being my favourite colour, at the time, that hairstyle was quite a popular look in Jamaica and so, I kind of jumped on that bandwagon!
Anyway, let’s give you what you came here for!
Although it is a VERY popular beach with the locals; it’s a gorgeous one! If you’ve come to Jamaica for the culture, you should definitely visit as the atmosphere is lively, the food is tasty (but a little bit pricey), and the people are welcoming; what more could you ask for? If you’re looking for a more relaxing beach, have a look below!
For me, this was a surreal experience; I not only walked on the same ground that the man himself walked on, but I had the opportunity to go inside his home; stood in the same room as a legend once did.
Must I add, the tour guide also told us that Barack Obama once did that exact tour and was also in the same room myself and the other tourist were in. In a strange way, being on that tour made me feel like I got to know Bob Marley a bit more.
I would definitely suggest that you go and visit Bob Marley’s museum, you won’t regret it!
This is another amazing destination, although popular for tourists, there’s not only a beach, but there’s also an opportunity to climb up the cliffs which has a gorgeous waterfall streaming down it, check out the picture! However, if you’re unable to climb the falls, you can walk alongside it up the footpath, so you don’t feel left out!
I didn’t get to take part in this activity but when I go back, I’ll make sure it doesn’t miss me for a second time.
As mentioned above, there was a waterfall and luckily, I didn’t miss out on that part as the photos below shows:
These photo here, are my favourite photos of that holiday and photos that I shan’t EVER forget; they have a very special place in my heart.
They were some of the last photos taken before we left and dare I share a cheesy moment with you?
Well, before I left, I closed my eyes and said the lyrics to Nicki Minaj’s song: ‘Moment For Life’. I wish that I could have this moment for life… ’cause in this moment I just feel so alive
I really did feel alive in that moment; it was the happiest I had ever been – in every sense and I just wanted to capture that feeling and the atmosphere around me and you know what? That truly is the case whenever I look at that picture, that feeling of happiness and feeling so alive, comes rushing back – and I love it.
Finally, what good is having a family holiday without a few snaps of my family?
I hope you enjoyed my 3 things to do in Jamaica. It was lovely!
If you ever get the chance to go any of these places, PLEASE feel free to share them with me!
