First of all, I have a little confession; this is not the first time I’ve brought this little black playsuit (LBP) with me on a holiday & it SHAN’T be the last.
I love it & as you’ll see by the photos, I thoroughly enjoyed wearing it & my partner was so kind to capture these gorgeous shots I’m about to share with you…
So, before I get into the blog, would you not agree that this location in Portugal is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS?!
If you’d like to see more of this location, it is in my vlog on my Youtube channel, (click here to see it).
Now, if you know me well enough, you’ll know that one of my favourite combinations is a black & gold outfit; I just think it looks so simple & sophisticated.
For this look, I simply started with my statement piece of this stunning Primark crochet-style playsuit that I purchased about 2 years ago for my first time to Portugal & then I simply paired it with my trusty black Primark sandals & bag. For the accessories, I went for my favourite Jamaican pendant necklace, my gold hoop earrings, gold watch & finished the look with these incredible sunglasses that I mentioned in my Collective Holiday Haul video.
I just noticed that most of my items are from Primark!
I used to refer to it as my ‘second home’ as I spent so much time in there!
Sometimes referred to as the ‘shorter sister of a jumpsuit’, playsuits are super stylish & is a summer favourite of mine. So much so that I own over 5 pairs (maybe you’ll see them next summer!).
If worn correctly, they can be dressed up or dressed down. I went for a casual look by pairing it with sandals but if you like, you could easily wear these with a nice pair of black barely there heels & a black clutch bag for a night time look. In the winter you can wear them with thick black stockings, a thick cardigan & some cosy winter footwear – the possibilities, once you’ve got your chosen playsuit, are endless!
One of the things I love about this particular garment is that ANYONE can wear it; no matter your size, shape or preference; there’s a playsuit for YOU!
I would suggest choosing a style that is loose-fitting & breathable – the last thing you want is a tight fitting play/jumpsuit that restricts your movement – not to mention when it comes to the battle of using the toilet haha!
This rule kind of links to the first; I would recommend buying a size bigger than what you are. Now, I know as ladies we want a garment like this to hug the parts that we love & hang over the parts we don’t, but think of the battle mentioned above!
Have fun with it! You can literally wear the same playsuit & style it numerous ways by adding & taking away different accessories from your original look.
I honestly loved how this look made me feel & I think it comes across in the photos – I felt so damn confident & sexy too (if I say so myself haha!)
Also, whilst writing this, it came to me that maybe I should style this LBP again, but with an autumn/winter twist… what do you think?
